Why Molina

Professional development -- we provide excellent training, and you'll gain valuable knowledge of the healthcare industry, Medicaid, medical terminology and other areas . . . areas that are in demand. We'll look to you to commit to this position for a minimum period, but after that (and assuming you have proven yourself), you might pursue other career paths within Molina.  For example, you might move into Claims, the Call Center or to another role within the Mail Room. There are a myriad of career paths for degreed and non-degreed contributors.

Great team environment -- by now you understand that this is an independent contributor role, but your manager makes team building a priority. She oversees both the Claims and Mail Room groups, so you can expect to enjoy regular lunches, potlucks and team meetings.

Flexibility and work/life balance -- our environment is fast-paced and you'll work hard, but we still maintain a regular 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule.

Best of both worlds -- Molina Healthcare is a publicly traded company with approximately 4,200 employees and revenues of $4.6 billion. We're a large and stable company working in a growth industry but our department is team-oriented, collaborative, and maintains open lines of communication. That means you can enjoy a cohesive environment where your successes will be noticed, while also being supported by the clout of a large and successful organization.

Help those who need it most -- Molina Healthcare provides services for members receiving Medicaid or Medicare, as well as other government services. We enjoy working with diverse populations and promoting diversity company-wide. You will use your talents to support an organization that serves people who have greater needs, and you can feel proud about the difference you will make in their lives.

High-performance company -- since our founding in 1980, we have grown from a single health clinic to a multi-state industry leader. We continue to post strong numbers; our 2011 premium revenues were $4.6 billion, up 15% over 2010, while annual cash flow from operations was 40% higher than in 2010, at $225.4 million. Guidance for 2012 is set at $5.8 billion in premium revenue.

Excellent compensation -- in addition to a competitive wage, we offer comprehensive benefits that include all you would expect -- such as insurance and PTO -- plus some pleasant surprises. For example, we provide two paid days off annually for employees to perform volunteer work at the charity of their choice, tuition reimbursement for those continuing their education, and more.

Keys to Success

To be successful, you’ll need to be efficient, organized, personable and reliable. You’ll be touching many different types of forms that come through the Mail Room every day, so you’ll need to have a strong learning acumen and the ability to become familiar with a variety of healthcare forms in a timely manner. We’ll provide you with the on-the-job training you need to succeed, and you’ll bring the drive and skills to hit the ground running.

Ours is a fast-paced environment and you’ll have a lot of mail coming in, so the need for strong multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills cannot be overstated. To be an outstanding Mail Room Clerk you should feel comfortable continuously learning new skills and expanding your scope of responsibilities.
